D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) is a series of classroom lessons led by police officers that teaches students how to resist peer pressure and live lives free from drugs and violence. The D.A.R.E. program consists of a 10-week curriculum designed for 5th-grade students, delivered by a uniformed police officer. It educates students about making safe and responsible choices while highlighting the negative health effects of alcohol, tobacco, vaping, and drug use. Additionally, the program emphasizes the importance of education, health, stress management, quality of life, confidence development, and effective communication skills.
