On Saturday, September 7, 2024, at about 7:51 p.m., Tracy Police Officers responded to a report of an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) accident on the railroad tracks near Chrisman Road and Brichetto Road. Witnesses reported that the individual driving the ATV collided with a nearby metal cable resulting in significant injuries. Officers arrived on the scene a few minutes later and began providing first aid until personnel from American Medical Response (AMR) arrived to take over.
Though life-saving measures were attempted by the first responders, the subject, an adult male, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Tracy Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit was notified and responded to the scene.
