Tracy Police Department Arrests Suspect in April 28 Stabbing

On Monday, April 28th, 2025, at approximately 6:59 PM, the Tracy Police Department Communications Center received reports of an individual lying on the ground near West 8th Street and Central Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male with multiple stab wounds and began administering first aid until personnel from American Medical Response (AMR) and the South San Joaquin County Fire Authority (SSJCFA) arrived. The victim was then transported to an area hospital in serious condition, but thanks to the diligent work of medical professionals, is expected to survive. 

Detectives from the General Investigations Unit responded to the scene to take over the investigation. 

Through the information gathered, Frank Blancarte (48 years old from Tracy) was identified as the individual responsible for the stabbing.  

Following the investigation, Blancarte was taken into custody at his employer on April 29 and will be booked into the San Joaquin County Jail.
