The Tracy Police Activities League (Tracy PAL), in collaboration with California PAL, Tracy Unified School District, Tracy Police Officer Association, and the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LiUNA), is proud to announce the launch of the Youth Apprenticeship Readiness Accelerator (YARA) Program. This innovative initiative is designed to provide comprehensive pre-apprenticeship training to local youth, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in various trades.

The YARA Program empowers young individuals by offering hands-on training, mentorship, and educational support. Through YARA, participants will be prepared for successful careers in the skilled trades, enhancing their personal and professional growth. They will learn about construction safety, blueprint reading, green construction, and drone pilot training over the course of eight weeks.

“At Tracy PAL, we recognize the importance of investing in the next generation,” said Sergeant Richard Graham, President of Tracy PAL. “By providing a structured pathway to meaningful employment opportunities, we can enhance the lives of participants and contribute to the economic vitality of our community. The YARA Program is a transformative initiative that will empower our youth and prepare them for a successful future. Together, we can impact the lives of young individuals in our community, build a skilled and capable workforce, and cultivate a sense of empowerment and self-sufficiency among our youth.”

The YARA Program is a positive initiative that offers youth in the community valuable opportunities for personal and professional development. By participating in YARA, local youth will gain essential skills, access to resources, and connections to help them achieve their full potential and succeed in their chosen trades.
