Tracy Police Arrest Suspect In Home Invasion And Child Exploitation Case

by | Jun 12, 2025 | News Releases

On Monday, June 3, 2025, Tracy Police Officers responded to a report of a residential burglary involving two children under the age of 14. The suspect, dressed in all black and wearing a mask, unlawfully entered the children’s bedroom during the night and fled the scene before officers arrived. Evidence left behind led detectives from Tracy PD’s General Investigations Unit to the service of multiple search warrants and to conduct intensive forensic analysis.  As a result, detectives identified and arrested 27-year-old Jevon Jennings of Tracy.

During the investigation, detectives discovered an unrelated but alarming development. Jennings was found to be in possession of over 3,000 images of child sexual abuse material, and further evidence suggests he had been distributing the material online.

Jennings has been booked into the San Joaquin County Jail and faces multiple felony charges including burglary, possession, and distribution of child sexual abuse material.  The victims in this case were not physically harmed during the commission of the crime.

“This arrest is a testament to the relentless dedication of our detectives,” said Captain Luis Mejia. “Breaking into a child’s bedroom is beyond disturbing, and the additional crimes discovered during this investigation only underscore the danger this individual posed to the community.”
