Tracy PD Investigates Homicide in the 1700 Block of Thicket Court

On Friday, July 21, 2023, around 9:30 pm the Tracy Police Department responded to a report of a deceased person inside a residence in the 1700 block of Thicket Court.  Upon their arrival, officers located an adult female who was the obvious victim of a homicide.  The victim was later identified as Carla Carroll, a 65-year-old from Tracy, California.  Detectives from the Tracy Police Department General Investigations Unit (GIU) responded and took over the investigation.

Through their investigation, detectives identified the victim’s son, Spencer Carroll (26 years old from Tracy), as being responsible for the homicide.  Spencer Carroll was arrested by detectives in the morning hours of July 22, 2023, and booked into the San Joaquin County Jail for one count of homicide.
