Tracy PD Respond to Fatal Traffic Collision on MacArthur Drive

On July 7, 2023, at about 9:08 PM, the Tracy Police Department (TPD) Communication Center received reports of a solo vehicle collision in the 1800 block of North MacArthur Drive. Witnesses reported that the vehicle was engulfed in flames and that both of the subjects were trapped. Officers arrived on the scene a few minutes later, closing the roadway for personnel from the South San Joaquin County Fire Authority to extinguish the flames. 

Once the flames were extinguished, two adult males, identified as Amrik Wander (34 years old of Tracy) and Arvind Ram (38 years old of Tracy), were located within the vehicle and pronounced deceased on scene. 

“Any loss of life is tragic, especially when attributed to something preventable like a traffic collision.  Our condolences go out to the family and friends of our two community members who passed,” said Police Chief Sekou Millington.
