One Adult and One Juvenile in Custody for Multiple Shootings in Tracy

On March 31, 2023, at approximately 9:58 pm the Tracy Police Department (TPD) Communications Center received a call regarding shots fired at a residence in the 2300 block of Bessie Avenue. Although the suspect had fled the area prior to the arrival of Officers, bystanders were able to able to provide information regarding the identity of the juvenile suspect and the suspect vehicle.

While the March 31st shooting was under investigation by the General Investigations Unit (GIU), the TPD Communications Center received a call on April 3, 2023, at approximately 2:26 pm regarding another drive-by shooting in the 1300 block of West Eleventh Street.

In both shootings, the same victims were targeted by the same two suspects.

On April 4, 2023, at approximately 3:43 pm, the juvenile and Andres Duran (18 years old of Tracy) called the TPD Communications Center from a city park and turned themselves in for the shooting on West Eleventh Street. 

Both suspects were arrested without incident and have been booked into San Joaquin County Jail and Juvenile Hall on the following charges:

– PC 245(b)

– PC 182(a)(1)

– PC 182(a)(1)

– PC 664/187 (multiple counts)

– PC 135
