Tracy Police Department Warns of an Individual Pretending to be a Tracy PD Officer in New Phone Scam

The Tracy Police Department has learned of several incidents where individuals have received phone calls from someone pretending to be a Tracy Police Officer. While impersonating an officer, the individual demands that the person send them money.  

Please be aware that this is not our department. The Tracy Police Department will never call you in an attempt to collect or demand money over the phone.  

If you receive a similar phone call, be sure to stay safe. Do not give out personal information or bank account information to someone you do not know.
