Tracy PD Arrest Suspect in Hampshire Lane Shooting Incident

On Thursday, September 19, 2024, detectives assigned to the Tracy Police Department’s General Investigation Unit arrested Jean Miranda (43 years old from Tracy) in connection to the shooting of Wesley Bozek (53 years old from Tracy) that occurred on September 18, 2024, in the 1700 block of Hampshire Lane.  Despite efforts from medical staff, Bozek died from his injuries today.

Miranda and Bozek were reportedly married and investigators do not believe there was a threat to the community at large. Miranda was arrested for PC 187(A) – Murder and PC 12022.53(D) – Use of a Firearm Causing Death or Great Bodily Injury and booked into the San Joaquin County Jail.
