On February 3, 2025, the Tracy Police Department was alerted to an inappropriate relationship between a juvenile and an adult that they had met online but were familiar with from a church that they both attend in Hayward. With assistance from the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) and the Special Enforcement Team (SET), Sanchez-Albino was taken into custody without incident on February 4, 2025. Following Sanchez-Albino’s arrest, GIU, SIU, and SET served a search warrant at his residence.
