Tracy Police Respond to Domestic Violence Incident Near Winston Court and Colony Drive

by | Jul 19, 2024 | Department News, News Releases

On July 18, 2024, at around 8:50 p.m., the Tracy Police Department responded to a domestic violence incident in the area of Winston Court and Colony Drive. During the initial investigation, officers determined that the suspect, Jose Rodriguez-Remigio (41-year-old from Tracy), had committed an act of felony domestic violence and child endangerment, that led to the victims being transported to a local hospital for treatment, and later released.

Witnesses at the scene provided statements that led officers to believe that Rodriguez-Remigio had fled into a nearby residence and barricaded himself inside. Due to the seriousness of the crime and Rodriguez-Remigio’s refusal to surrender, the Tracy Police Department’s Crisis Response Unit (SWAT, Crisis Negotiation Team, and Tactical Dispatchers) responded to take over the incident. Officers ultimately entered the residence after obtaining warrants for Rodriguez-Remigio, to find that he had fled out the back of the property before officers arrived.

Rodriguez-Remigio currently has a felony warrant for domestic violence and child endangerment. If anyone has any information about his whereabouts, please contact Tracy PD at (209) 831-6550. To provide an anonymous tip, contact Tracy Crime Stoppers by calling (209) 831-4847 or by texting “TIPTPD” and your message to CRIMES (274637).

Rodriguez-Remigio is described as a Hispanic male, 5’9″ tall, weighing 184 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
