On Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at about 8:38 p.m., the Tracy Police Department Communications Center received multiple 9-1-1 reports of an altercation at the Spin Cycle Laundry Mat, located at 22 E. 11th Street, during which one of the involved subjects had been stabbed.

Prior to the arrival of Officers, both involved subjects left the area. Through their investigation, Officers located the victim, a 38-year-old male from Tracy, at a nearby hospital with multiple stab wounds. The victim, having sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries, was then transferred to a different hospital for further treatment.

Investigators assigned to the General Investigations Unit (GIU) responded to continue the investigation. Based on initial information, it is believed that the involved parties knew one another, posing no threat to the community at large.
