On Monday, July 10, 2023, at approximately 2:51 am, Officers from the Tracy Police Department’s Special Enforcement Team (SET) witnessed the subject wanted in connection to a string of vandalisms at local Taquerias throwing rocks at a Taqueria located in the 1200 block of West 11th Street.

After witnessing the vandalism occur, SET Officers attempted to apprehend the unknown suspect, later identified as Sean Williams (a 36-year-old adult male from Tracy).  After a short foot pursuit, Sean Williams was taken into custody in the area of 9th and 11th Street with assistance from patrol officers.

Detectives from the Tracy Police Department’s General Investigations Unit (GIU) authored a search warrant for Williams’ residence. During a search of William’s home, SET and GIU personnel located additional evidence connecting Williams to a string of at least 12 vandalisms that have occurred over the last two months.

Williams was booked into San Joaquin County Jail on multiple counts of felony vandalism and resisting arrest.
