Tracy Police Department Investigates Shooting on Boleyn Court

On Tuesday, May 30, 2023, around 2:20 pm, the Tracy Police Department responded to a 911 call of shots being fired into a residence in the 400 block of Boleyn Court.  Upon arrival, patrol officers found evidence of a shooting in the area but fortunately, no one was struck by gunfire.

The Tracy Police Department Special Investigations Unit (SIU), General Investigations Unit (GIU), and Special Enforcement Team (SET) quickly gathered information that a suspect involved in the shooting was armed and inside a residence in the 3400 block of Mary Jean Lane. Officers surrounded the residence and were able to detain three juveniles without incident.

A search warrant was served on the residence and investigators were able to locate a firearm.  A juvenile was arrested for firearm possession-related offenses and booked into juvenile hall.  The shooting investigation is still ongoing.

UPDATE- On Thursday, June 8, 2023, around 6:00 am, the Tracy Police Department’s Crisis Response Unit (SWAT, Crisis Negotiation Team, and Tactical Dispatch Team) served a search and arrest warrant at a residence in the 2600 block of Gilberte Court in Tracy. A male juvenile was taken into custody pursuant to an arrest warrant for 246 PC (shooting into an occupied dwelling), 245(a)(2) PC (assault with a deadly weapon/firearm), and 594 PC (Vandalism). The juvenile was booked into the San Joaquin County Juvenile Hall.
