Suspect Arrested for Attempted Murder on Cabrillo Drive

On Monday, April 10, 2023, at around 9:45 am, the Tracy Police Department responded to a stabbing in the 2800 block of Cabrillo Drive. 

Upon arrival, officers located a victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital for their injuries and is now in critical but stable condition at an area hospital. 

Witnesses at the scene were able to identify the suspect as Joriel Francia (26 years old of Tracy) and provide a description and possible places where he may be since he had fled before Officers arrived. Francia was located in Tracy the following morning at 7:10 am and was arrested without further incident. 

Francia was arrested for PC 664/187(A) Attempted Murder and booked into San Joaquin County Jail. 

Due to the relationship between the suspect and the victim, the incident did not represent a danger to the community. The investigation is ongoing by the General Investigations Unit.
