Critical Incident Community Briefing Officer-Involved Shooting Video

The Tracy Police Department has reached a point in its investigation that video footage from a January 2023 officer-involved shooting has been released during a press conference held on January 31. The Tracy Police Department has completed a Critical Incident Community Briefing, which incorporates officer body-worn camera video footage, surveillance footage from a nearby residence, and factual information for public viewing.

On Friday, January 27, 2023, at approximately 1:47 pm, the Tracy Police Department Communications Center received a call regarding a “suspicious circumstance” between two male subjects in the area of Silvertail Place and Foxtail Way. The incident was captured on the Officers’ body-worn camera, while the circumstance that led to a community member calling 9-1-1 was captured on surveillance camera footage at a nearby residence.

The Tracy Police Department remains committed to transparency with the investigation.
