TRACY DETECTIVES SEIZE DRUGS, GHOST GUN DURING SMOKE SHOP RAID

by | May 7, 2026 | News Releases

In April of 2026, the Tracy Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit received a tip from a concerned citizen regarding illegal activity occurring at Cloudz Smoke Shop on West Grant Line Road. The tipster reported that the business was selling THC and nicotine vape products to high school-aged students.

Following an investigation, detectives confirmed that the business was unlawfully selling nicotine and THC products to minors. Detectives also learned the business was not licensed through the City of Tracy or the State of California to sell THC or nicotine products.

Detectives obtained and served a search warrant at the business. During the service of the warrant, detectives located illegal THC and nicotine vape products openly displayed for sale inside the store, along with psilocybin mushrooms. During the investigation, 21-year-old Cameron Robertson was also found to be in possession of an unserialized handgun equipped with an extended magazine.

Robertson was arrested and booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on multiple violations, and the business was ordered closed.

Despite the enforcement action, detectives later learned the business had reopened and resumed operations. Detectives returned to the location, served the owners with a Cease and Desist Order, and again ordered the business closed.

Last week, detectives discovered that Cloudz Smoke Shop had reopened at a new location on West 11th Street. A follow-up investigation determined the business was once again selling vape products to minors. Detectives obtained and served an additional search warrant at the new location.

During the service of the warrant, detectives located additional contraband and evidence related to the illegal sales. Detectives arrested 20-year-old Isa Khan in connection with the investigation.

Assisting Tracy Police detectives during the operation were investigators from the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration, the agency responsible for regulating and enforcing tax laws related to tobacco, cannabis, and alcohol sales.

“These investigations are about protecting the youth of our community,” said Sergeant Jeff Berdosh of the Tracy Police Department Special Investigations Unit. “Businesses that illegally sell nicotine, THC, or other controlled substances to minors put young people at risk and will be held accountable. We appreciate the community members who came forward with information and encourage anyone aware of similar activity to report it.”

Anyone with information related to illegal sales of nicotine, THC, alcohol, or controlled substances to minors is encouraged to contact the Tracy Police Department at (209) 831-6550.
